A busy sporting week back saw the Girls play their first game representing the school, developing confidence and enjoyment as the match went on, there was super work rate and skills being displayed all over the pitch in which some playing a specific position for the first time.

Unfortunately the result was 11:1 to Monkfield but after being 7:1 down at half time the girl’s certainly showed great spirit and the joy of them scoring a goal could be seen by all the players and fans alike!

The boys had an away game at Hardwick in what were tricky footballing conditions and heavy rain at times despite this the boys demonstrated some excellent passing and movement to create plenty of chances in the first half only to see them being saved or hitting the woodwork, then Hardwick scored a breakaway goal against the run of the play. With some tactical changes the boys continued to dominate and eventually got a break through at the stroke of half time. This led to continue pressure and more determination and the dominance paid off in the second half with 3 more goals to The Vine; securing a 4:1 victory, well done boys!

Unfortunately the weather got the better of us yesterday meaning that the tag rugby tournament was postponed which led to disappointed boys and girls but certainly the right decision.

Many thanks to all the parents and carers for supporting and transporting the children at these events, I’m sure it was great to see the talent and energy on display.
