Mini-Olympics 2017

Written by  on Monday, 24 July 2017.

On Tuesday 20th June 2017, Year 4 travelled to Wilberforce Road athletics track to take part in the Mini Olympics.

They were joined by many other Year 4s from the Cambridge area. The atmosphere was amazing and it was thrilling to arrive at the sports ground with the track and field prepared for the different activities.

First, everyone attended an opening ceremony, where we reflected on the Olympic values; respect, determination, excellence and friendship. Then everyone was organised into their groups and the events began. It was a fun-filled, very energetic day! Everyone got to compete in a huge variety of sports activities including; dancing, long jump, relay, tug of war, boccia, golf, football skills and so much more!

Message to Y3s from Y4, “You’ll love it next year, when it’s your turn!”
