Year 1 Autumn Fun

Written by  on Friday, 20 October 2017.

In Year 1 we have enjoyed using the local area in our learning. Back in September we harvested blackberries and apples from our school grounds and made our own individual fruit parcels! Delicious!

We have also visited our local nature reserve on the hunt for signs of Autumn. We spotted both evergreen and deciduous trees, lots of beautiful Autumn leaves and different types of berries.   We will be back later in the year to find out how the plants and wildlife change throughout the seasons.

We have also walked around Cambourne to find out about its history and how it is still changing. Back in school we transformed cardboard boxes into model Cambourne houses, using our skills of designing, printing and decorating. We were pleased with the results!
