Moving On

Written by  on Tuesday, 18 July 2017.

The summer term has been a busy one with the children taking on the role of pirates in our topic on pirates and the role of teachers in our school during our moving on topic.

We have made some wonderful works of art making parrot pictures with hand prints, junk model ships and treasure maps to practice our mark making.

During our moving on topic we have looked at how we have changed and grown up. To help us with this learning we have grown our own plants and had a little competition to see whose would grow the tallest. We were also lucky enough to have some tadpoles which we were able to watch grow into frogs. During our moving on topic we have made lots of transition visits to FS2 where we have joined in with Coral and Ruby’s learning, this has been lots of fun and we are now really looking forward to moving up to our new reception classes and having new teachers. Next week we will be celebrating our time in Pre-school with an end of year picnic at the water park with our parents and carers.
