Jade and Emerald Classes had an exciting afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Visitors from The Happy Puzzle Company came and brought lots of different maths puzzles to show us. Children spent the afternoon solving all kind of puzzles in small groups.

Vishnu said: "It was so much fun solving the puzzles. The best thing was the puzzle shop at the end. I bought a puzzle for myself but I haven't made it yet. I have been waiting for the Easter holidays so I can do it then."

Joseph said: "I liked working in a team. Solving the tricky puzzles was a lot of fun!"

Camille said; "I liked it because we all helped each other."

Holly said; "My favourite was catching the fish when I was blindfolded. My team helped me to find the fish and I caught it with a rod."

The Happy Puzzle Company also worked with year 6 that day.

In Art it has been chaos, a colour chaos! The children in year 2 have learnt about primary colours, the range of shades, and the warm and cold tones of colours. They have created some fantastic art work by using some of the techniques used by the artists they have been studying.
