Year 2 keeping busy

Written by  on Monday, 31 October 2016.

Jade and Emerald classes have been looking at traditional fairy tales and they have had a go at writing their own fairy tale based on The Gingerbread Man. They all followed the post trail of The Jolly Postman, and managed to scare off The Giant with their scary faces...

They have been busy designing and building their own moving vehicles. They used cardboard boxes for the chassis and looked into the mechanics of how the wheels and axles function. The end results were amazing!

During science week, they investigated which material would be best for a toy boat. There were some surprises, which materials would float or sink. Year 2 also had a visit from a vet who help them to see some similarities between the human skeleton and a dog skeleton.
