Great Summer in ASC

Written by  on Tuesday, 18 July 2017.

The summer term in after school club has been very busy with a wide variety of activities on offer and enjoyed by all. The children have enjoyed lots of cooking activities; they have worked together with some of the year 6 children taking the lead on this activity. They have baked a variety of things from cupcakes to samosas and even made up their own recipe for sticky chocolate cake.

With the good weather that we have experienced outside play has been popular. There has been some magnificent team work demonstrated that has culminated into a fantastic den to play in and an assault course the length of the playground for all ages and abilities to enjoy. When the weather has not been so kind the children have enjoyed putting on poncho’s and playing in the rain!!

As always indoor crafts have been as popular as ever. There has been some wonderful art work and creations being made. The children particularly enjoyed joining in with the design a monster competition. There were some great creative entries and the judging was incredibly hard, the lucky winner was Fraser whose black and white monster caught the judge’s eye.

We are now looking ahead to the autumn term where we will welcome some new members to ASC. The current children have already come up with some great ideas for next term which I am sure will be enjoyed by all.
